So now, all you "conservatives" are for trade protectionism? We already have anti-dumping laws, you know. For those who don't care about history, trade wars usually end up being bad for everyone. Part of what caused the Great Depression were protective tariffs.

so the base model truck that now costs $50k will suddenly cost $80k 
i cant afford the $50k one so it doesnt matter any way
car prices change based on what people are stupid enough to pay for them, not what they cost to make
that truck only costs $20k to make in 1990 and sold for $30k, today it still only costs $20k to make in 2018, but they just got idiots willing to pay $50k for them
