Wow. After a long day of work, I’ve run the gamut from piece of shite to ignorant. Yet, no one has offered a valid justification for why the system HAS to be fair.

And, most people lump all losers together instead of addressing my other point. I have student loans. My job is demanding. I actually make top tier in the area I live in, and it’s a high paying job. Unfortunately, the job doesn’t keep up with my loans. I don’t need loan forgiveness to survive, but it would certainly help me.

No one has addressed public service loan forgiveness, and under the majority rationale in this thread, any person who got a major degree and decided to opt into public service is just a sucker.

It’s a broken system. I’m not for it. But no one Has stated an articulable reason why it SHOULD be fair, other than to state that they want their money back.

I don’t want my student loans to be forgiven. But something has to be done to get the cost of college in check.

I would support some sort of gov backed refinancing program to lower rates and help young folks pay off their debt. I’ve been in that situation where loans were a terrible burden especially first starting out.

This is such a vote buying scheme. I’ll pay off all your debt if you vote me. Free lunches, soda machines in the cafeteria, all Fridays off, no more homework.

The dem primary is like a run for 5th grade class President.
