Quebec thumbed their nose at Ottawa and forced them to recognize French as the official language of the province. I'd say that constitutes having some backbone.
Alberta keeps threatening to secede from Canada. Haven't seen anything come of it. (No backbone.)

She can be deported after she does her time for assaulting a minor. She's a flight risk, too, so no bail.
She should consider herself lucky at that. Any foreigner who assaults a citizen on our soil should be executed, IMO. America needs to stop being so soft.

Quebec is good on DEI, but so is Alberta. Quebec is more into big government and cradle to grave welfare than is Alberta.
