He’s actually celebrating it.
He believes in reincarnation.
He was a roach in his past life. His God gave him a chance as a human in this life. His God will be sending him back to roach in his next life since he failed as a human.

Considering their holy scriptures calls for the outright murder of homosexuals, why did Canada not also outlaw Islam? Is it worse to try and convert a homosexual than murder them?
Don't forget about the requirement for 3 male witnesses to confirm a rape, in Islam as well.

This is an absurd point of view. As an atheist, you have no foundation for believing in natural rights. And with no natural rights, there is no reason a government should be neutral on the issue of gender, or on any other issue. The entire edifice of individual freedom rests on natural rights that are immutable, and are from our maker. An atheist is an anarchist.
You can desire government neutrality, and limited government, but it's just a desire to be enforced via a majority. You cannot argue for limited government based on anything else.

Yes they can. And you can ride or walk away.

Much as I'd be against a theocracy which openly supported various religious texts as "true" I'm just as against any government suggesting any religious texts are "false."
Not an atheist, but I agree. That's the basis of faith, being that it's believed in. The narrative of true and false doesn't apply here.

I'm not surprises that's your opinion on the matter when the only moral foundation you'll accept is "Because God said so."

I know this is too simplistic but I swear as soon as Obama lit the White House up in those motherfuking rainbow lights it was like a switch was flipped. It's been pure madness ever since

We’re probably just that powerful culturally. The Obama people set off a bomb.
I say we, but it’s Hollywood, and the other degenerate pillars of their machine.

Penrod is correct, it’s logic.
An absolute moral code imposed on us from above is immutable.
Without a divine mandate, morality just becomes subjective, and personal. Morality is whatever you say it is. And can only be maintained with force.
This is one of the crippling problems of the modern age. It’s one of the reasons why things are so bad.
Religious dogma is stickier than the rule of law. Declaring something haram is more effective than making it illegal. People are more likely to follow a religious mandate, than follow the law. Both codes are necessary though.

How do you know the divine mandate you follow is morally good?
