so many people are too far into it, where for some of them, MAGA has become part of their identity, whether they wanted it to be or not, so going back on that is not even negotiable, at any cost... just a lot simpler to go with denial of facts, whataboutism about everything, and use pedantic insults to get out any situation that they are faced with truth and facts

as far as what you "say", yeah, i agree... talk is cheap, and in the end, doesn't get anything done...
but i do disagree with the "do" part... being active in the community, voting, etc does make a difference... may take a lot of planning, time, etc, but if you are dilligent and willing to "do", things can get done

This is the main problem, too many don’t do this. Would love to see it change but I’m not holding my breath.

The truth is nobody likes neocons, and they never get elected. There has only been 1 election where a republican neocon won, and that was GWB 2004. Every other election run by a republican neocon as a neocon they have lost.
Reagan was a conservative, 8 years. Bush a neocon, ran as a conservative in 88, claimed no new taxes, ends up raising taxes, raising spending, getting us in a foreign war, etc. Loses the election to Clinton.
Jr runs in 2000 on a foreign policy of no nation building, peace, balanced budgets, etc. Conservative issues. He was obviously exposed later as a neocon and won in 2004 on the neocon platform for re-election, mostly due to 9/11.
2008 - Romney loses.
2012 - Romney loses.
2016 - Trump wins on a kind of conservative platform, certainly not neocon..
2020 - Trump wins on claims of a conservative platform, but his 1st term was shaking, especially his final year.
2024 - Trump wins by claiming to be a conservative, reduce waste/spending, bring about peace.
It took nearly 20 years for the GOP to recover from the last neocon infection. It'll get broken again as people like me will turn our nose to the neocons every time.

I think people are waking up. The neocons are losing their power with the public. I've been "awake" to the uniparty for decades.
I don't normally visit this forum. I was curious because often times with social media you get stuck in bubbles and most of the people agree with you. So I came over just to check knowing it was a more conservative place. The number of people who aren't falling for it is much greater than it would have been in the past.
And it's kind of a once you see it you can't unsee it type of thing.
