Of course the DOJ can't release documents concerning ongoing investigations. You know the charge is that these new investigations were launched as an excuse to not release the files.
Why was Trump's DOJ dragging their heels on investigating Summers, Clinton, et al? Why start those investigations now?
Those new investigations are outside the scope of the alleged investigations already concluded against the other people alluded to by Massie:
Of course, Massie could be lying, but these new investigations wouldn't prevent release of all the FBI files relating to the closed investigations of, for instance, the rock star, the magician, and the Italian car company owner.

Why is Trump mentioned at all when he kicked Jeffrey out of mar a lago, worked with authorities because he was a creep, jailed him during his first term and never had any substantial evidence show he was involved as a client and the only person to release any documents (30k +)?
I think Trump has done more than anyone and you’re saying he’s dragging his feet.

I don't think Trump was involved with any illegal activity with Epstein. No objective people think that because Trump's involvement would already have been leaked when the Dems controlled the DOJ. It's just a Democrat talking point that will persist as long as he opposes the full release of the Epstein files.
I think he's covering for friends who would be exposed as committing immoral, but not illegal, acts. It's the timing of the launching of the "new" investigations into Clinton, Summers, et al that looks like an obvious attempt to block release of any of the files because of an "ongoing investigation."
I ask again, if the DOJ suspected Clinton, Summers, et al of crimes why are they just now launching those investigations from actions YEARS ago? Obviously, it's because Trump lost politically AND the DOJ doesn't want to release all of the Epstein files...especially the 302 interview summaries.

I agree completely that Trump has done more than anyone. It was HIS DOJ that finally prosecuted Epstein.
I'm not accusing Trump of dragging his feet. I'm saying that if his DOJ really believed that Clinton, Summers, et al are guilty, why didn't they launch an investigation before now?

Honestly I don’t know as from my understanding the time has ran out for statute of limitations.
I personally would like to know if any victims have settled or signed NDAs and how that could affect any of these documents through the ongoing court cases outside of the federal govt.

I can answer that question: yes.
We just don't have all the details as to each person, for obvious reasons.

If the case was formally closed in July 2025, then the "ongoing investigation" argument died with the closure.

It's also not smart to name victims that came forward or witnesses who weren't victims that came forward.
You blast these people's names, then they are harassed the rest of their life over this, and you deter people from coming forward.
It's why you protect whistleblowers or else they won't blow the whistle.
But people here think there is no reason at all to redact names or for judges to seal files. The only reason is you are protecting pedophiles.

Yeah but I think that probe is over the estate communications, a completely different source. It shouldn't preclude documents relating to the prior DOJ investigation

And no number of files released will stop democrats from calling Trump a pedophile.
Just like with people on the right, no amount of evidence or non-evidence will convince them it's not Israel running a pedophile satanic child trafficking ring.

This is my theory as to why nobody ever promoting the release.
It's never going to satisfy the mob and the CTs that they developed, so then those who are perceived to have not released everything will become part of the conspiracy.
