Can a liberal democrat explain this logic to me

Why is it OK for a municipality or state to force gun owners to pay to have to register their firearms and such just so they can exercise their 2nd amendment right,
but it is completely NOT OK for municipalities or states to require a photo ID for voting because it apparently forces "people to have to pay to exercise their right to vote"?

There is no logic to it but you miss the point. It doesn't matter in so many ways. You conservatives pride yourself on logic and logical arguments and yet when you argument against same-sex marriage your arguments are based on the bible or religion or what is natural or history lol.
