The real question is why do 22% of the GOP want sexually explicit books available to minors?
id bet 90% of those are dems just saying they are repubs... and a few are the brick wall libertarians who are black and white.

Mattress Mack is a businessman (Gallery Furniture) and philanthropist in the Houston area who is universally loved for just giving away money and opening up his doors during Ike to let people stay there.

The Houston Chronicle is the typical big city liberal newspaper.

Both have thrown their support behind the Republican.

Who is suggesting it should be in the children's section?

Louisville
Hudson City, NY
Virgina Beach
Orlando
and schools in Maine, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania, etc.

a book with mediocre drawings of fellatio doesn't just randomly end up on school campuses because everybody just happened to catch this book and put it on the list to order because it was so good. most libraries didn't even know it got put in when it was ordered with the state recommended list, i would imagine.

somebody went and advocated for and/or slipped that book on to lists appear in k12 libraries. it's a small book that was self published by a tiny organization with 5k printed in it's initial run that found itself on statewide recommended lists within a year.

why nobody asks about a book like that was in libraries within a year is the same reason that people stopped talking about monkeypox after it was found to be spread through gay sex and children and dogs started popping up with it.

Yeah, the "Sexually Explicit" thing is too vague. They should just name the books and or the passage.
These classic authors all have sexually explicit passages:
DH Lawrence, James Joyce, Victor Hugo.

The only political signs in my neighbors' front yards are for Mealer. There's an ad on the radio which features a Latina sounding lady saying even though she's a Democrat, Houston needs to vote out the Democrat judges who are contributing to rising crime. Pretty compelling ad.

Just look at this board.

There are people here who claim to be GOP but exalt every virtue of the Left.

This book is one of the biggest controversial books in school libraries.

There are no conservatives who are getting their masters in Library Science or whatever they’re calling it these days. They’re all flaming progressives. And they’re approaching their jobs like they’re leading a revolution.
