This is all about forcing musicians to unionize.

Musicians unions exist everywhere, but the overwhelming majority of musicians want nothing to do with them because they’re not worth the king’s ransom in dues.

reading some articles, this was HEAVILY influenced by people trying to force unions on the trucking industry

this was also severely targeting the gig economy
