Tarzana should move there, she's so worried about the power grid and the environment in TEXAS and all.

They should just drive them to the top of a mountain and then coast down. The brakes would charge their batteries and they could actually return some power to the grid.

Good thing we have fossil fuels (I know it's not the only source) to power those eclectic vehicles.

I think we need more nuclear and coal to keep up with this electrical demand.

Last year’s mid-summer headline.

But, if everyone follows Psaki’s instructions and buys EVs, it’ll get much worse.

We are headed back to this:

The Amish are way ahead of the times.

Seems problematic for the future

What do they expect everyone to do when they convert to electric cars yet can’t charge them?

I have a paper somewhere from a PhD student on the effects of going EV as a country on the grid infrastructure.

Cliffs: It’s gonna to eventually overwhelm the grid.

I’ll have to find it and share with the PT.

Supporters of EVs should change their argument tactic to focus on eliminating localized smog issues & vehicle tailpipe emissions control by getting gasoline & diesel engines out of heavily populated areas (e.g. LA, Beijing). They could then admit the electricity source is irrelevant because the emissions can be easily controlled in a single stack at the power plant (natural gas, coal, whatever).

Now on to the issue of the battery production and disposal...

I saw a Joe Rogan podcast where an Indian mystic guru explains how planet Earth is all fricking up because our soil is dying out in the needed organics.

In the 1980's for VitC you needed one orange & today you need to eat 8 oranges for the same Vit C needed.

Family farms that live off the land need to be returned to.

You'll own nothing by 2030 and be happy.

The strain on the grid will be the excuse to "ration" vehicles so that only the gov owns them. You'll just buy rides or rent from the gov on the days you need a car. Otherwise, you'll stay in your living space and eat bugs.

At least that's how I see it playing out.

All of the trillions wasted. By now we could have high speed rail everywhere in USA for national travel. Local travel. Look to Pleasure Island Carolina Bch. NC. (or mostly any beach town/island) People drive golf carts, ride bikes, high powered scooters/mopeds everywhere locally.
