Clearly their ad campaign needs a transition.

Nope. They stepped in it and need to fire this bitch today.

Bud Light sales slaughtered
Well looky, looky. We might finally have a legit corporate case of going woke and then suffering for it. None of them actually go broke.

Yes, but the article is talking about bud light’s sales declining. You think the loss of revenue from bud light (the largest warmer in the market) is fine with management, because the second most purchased product in the market is theirs too?

How people don't reach for water during these types of scenarios is mind boggling. Last thing I want to taste is a soda or beer when I'm all tired and sweaty. Even Gatorade seems to be pushing it.

Hopefully folks are taking this opportunity to find actual good beer. People drinking less of that piss water can only be a net positive for the world no matter what your political stance is.

Means nothing. Americans will start buying it again without any Anheuser firing anyone publicly. I'm sick of Americans thinking their 5 day boycotts mean anything. When the company pleads for forgiveness, fires everyone involved from bottom to top and promise to never pander to the woke ever again, then I'll believe in the weak american red-pilled boycotts.

These weak fricks have a very short memory, and the corporate world knows it.
$0.50 off a 12 pack deal, and they'll be stocking up.

If I see anyone drinking a BL I’m going to ask “hey, hows that Tranny fluid taste”.
I will forever refer to BL as Tranny fluid.

Bud Light will continue to exist but lost tap handles in restaurants and bars are hard to win back
A restaurant will be responsive to customers. So if customers request it some will do Bud Light bottle only and that will diminish sales at every place that does it

This is an example of a “push” that will have major repercussions for the brand well after this dumbfrick moves to another brand or industry.
This dumbfrick should never have a job in marketing again and always be remembered as the bitch that killed bud light… but really what a shame and fall for AB, from real men of genius to this crap…unreal.

Should.
In practice, they will be lauded and blame will go on the campaign being “too ahead of its time”, and which is a typical cop out for “did not work the way it should have.

They sold the rights in the US after that to Constellation Brands.

This is going to take longer to see, IMO. It's so far removed from the decision making, it will take a while to reach there.
First, the customers have to stop ordering long enough (or be vocal enough) for the restaurant to notice it.
Then, enough restaurants in a given area have to slow their ordering enough for the distributors to notice.
Then enough distributors need to notice the slowdown to make waves with the brewery.
So, it needs to happen on a wide scale and go on long enough for a lot of people to notice. Yes, lost tap handles are hard to get back, but AB is starting so far out in front of everyone else that it's going to be a while before some places figure it out.
And that's without accounting for the sweetheart deals they've given to bars and restaurants all over the country to get those tap handles in the first place.
