Edit: Apparently CNN misstated the drop in sales. The correct numbers are:

"Volume of beer sales had declined 11 percent in the first week of the controversy, ending April 8, and 21 percent in the week ending April 15. This is according to figures from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting, originally cited by trade newsletter Beer Marketer's Insights."

CNN with the wrong facts. Can they be trusted with anything else?

"Sales of Bud Light fell 17% in the week ended April 15 compared to the same week in 2022, according to an analysis of Nielsen data compiled by Bump Williams Consulting provided to the Wall Street Journal. That same week, sales of rival beers Coors Light and Miller Lite each grew nearly 18% compared to the same week a year earlier."

The boycott is working fellas. Bud Light also has two execs on leave. CNN still says "experts" predict no problems for BL's profits.

I thought our resident progressives told us conservatives don't do boycotts well.

Oh well, there's always Fox News...

Still don’t. Figured it would take a bigger dip before the inevitable rebound. 17% is chump change to them.

It's easy to avoid BL and many AB brands but their portfolio is so large it's easy to make a mistake buying an AB brand. I'll just stick to local beers just to be safe.

Then give it to me. I'll gladly take it off their hands.

17% is a big drop. It means 1 in 6 Bud Light drinkers chose another brand.

But who needs help when you got the media on your side.

Bar stands by Bud Light, tells haters they can leave...

OK.

quote:

"Bars, in our opinion, exist as public spaces where ideas should be exchanged. Unfortunately, due to all of the bigotry and hatred that has surfaced around the Bud Light controversy, any patron wanting to voice their concerns about the issue will be immediately asked to pay their bill and leave our establishment."

Everyone is welcome in the bar no matter how they identity, the post added, and that ownership doesn't care about special cans or partnerships with certain individuals.

"We will not tolerate intolerance," it said.

LMAO..

Did they really say they would kick themselves out?

Is this orders from the distributor or retail point of sale?

I can’t imagine any sizable company not seeing this as HUGE (especially for something completely self-inflicted) either way. Because it certainly is.

The article says "sales", so I'd assume retail.

So saying you hate Heineken is okay but saying you hate BL in this bar will get you kicked out?
