Basically it is London's version of an HOA Karen. Someone on the city council didn't like him installing an outdoor condenser and told him to remove it. It had nothing to do with some "global warming" mandate or anything - it was just an aesthetic and noise issue. Again, basically London's version of an HOA. He installed two big condensers on the outside wall of his apartment and there are rules against such installs if you don't have certain approvals, etc.

AC is not illegal in the UK, especially if you own the land. But they are pretty strict in a lot of areas about the aesthetics of outdoor condensers, how loud they are, and how close to neighbors they are installed. Remember the UK is pretty small, even on private property you are often right next to people. Installing a big arse condenser right next to a neighbor's bedroom window or something could be an issue.

The UK has migrants murdering its citizens on a regular basis. One migrant just tried to behead a man in the street. Another migrant stabbed a kid and the police put the stabbing victim in handcuffs while he was bleeding out dying. Instead of doing something about these out of control migrants they are worried someone might use an air conditioner because it’s abnormally hot over there right now. I just do not know how much longer the UK and Europe makes it. I thought they would decline over a period of years until they just faded away into becoming another Middle East. This story makes me wonder if it will actually take a period of years before they collapse and fail.

Could you imagine what would happen here if the government allowed the police to arrest Southerners for using our air conditioners in the summer? There wouldn’t be a police station or government building left in the Southeastern United States. The revolt that would happen would make the Revolutionary War and Civil War look like reenactments.

If I wanted to kill off a good part of the population who sucks up healthcare resources I would probably let the heat do it in the summer.

I didn’t say anything at all about the US crime rate. I didn’t say the US doesn’t have our issues here. The conversation was about the UK. I also through Europe as a whole in because they have the same problem with migrants the UK has. Stop trying to put words in my mouth. The truth is even the best run countries will always have trouble with crime to a degree. There will always be murders and rapes and other forms of violence because there is no way to totally eradicate evil and mental illness. As bad as violent crime can get in certain areas of the US at least we don’t have people walking around trying to cut someone’s head off at random.
