I'll accept "the law" in this context to mean, "those in power."
I assume there was an actual law that said you couldn't hide Jews? Or did they just use accessory after fact or some other pretext?

The NDAA 2012 was indefinite detention of American citizens without due process, signed quietly by Obama around 9:30pm on New Years Eve 2011, with no press, when nobody was paying attention. I was weary before but that was the final nail in my bonafide “conspiracy” coffin.
