People often ask why not provide an exception for the health of the mother. Part of the reason is the fourth from the last reason given above.
The "psychological health" of the mother would go from .00294 to 98% overnight.
Corrupt politicized doctors and judges would sign off on these bogus "diagnosis" for strictly political reasons.
In Michigan, there is a loophole in the parental consent and knowledge rules whereby pregnant underage girls can petition a court to obtain an abortion without the parents' consent or even knowledge. However, it can only be done if the girl believes her safety would be endangered if she told her parents
So, of course, Democrat groups formed clinics to assist girls (most from loving families) in filling these petitions. These clinics are staffed with lawyers and law students. These lawyers and law students coach these girls in exactly what they need to say in court. They then file petitions and "judge shop" until they get assigned far left whackjob judges who they know will just rubber stamp the order.
THIS is how sleazy f*cking Democrats operate.
Any "exception" for life of the mother that everyone agreed to would almost be impossible to draft because scumbag Democrats would simply get corrupt doctors and judges to circumvent the laws.
