We had to maintain our strength for 15 month combat deployments. More strenuous than 7 month deployments and guarding embassies.

I cross-decked once before I was married. One of the best years of my life. Marines enjoy being deployed…so much better than life stateside. Our deployments may be shorter, but we do more than anyone else in between deployments, and deployed at a very fast cadence. I may have seen my wife four months out of the first 24 we were married. That’s okay…we stole you guys blind every chance we got…LOL. Ha…y’all and the chair force…anything not bolted down was leaving with us. Good times, brother, good times.

Away from my old lady 5 of the first 7 years. Missed both kids being born. But I still miss it.
