Breakthrough Infection Study (NEJM)

We hear anecdotes about breakthroughs, but no real data. Well now a major study was published in one of the most prestigious medical journals. It took place in Israel where they followed healthcare workers who had all been vaxxed with Pfizer. They even had a control group.
They followed 1,500 of them and tested them routinely. Out of this group, they found 39 breakthrough cases. In 57% of the cases they narrowed down the infection source to an unvaccinated person living in the household with the worker. 30% of them caught it through their job after coming into contact with unvaccinated patients. 7 cases were linked to a single patient in ICU (who was there in the first place because he wasn't vaxxed).
33% of all breakthrough cases were asymptomatic (worker didn't realize they had it). The rest were mild cases, with one of the workers having to be hospitalized. However, 19% of them did contract "long Covid" where symptoms persisted for 6 weeks or more. The main variant was B.1.1.7 (alpha) which was responsible for 85% of cases.
They also found that those with breakthrough cases had low antibody titers in the blood (big surprise) suggesting the vaccine just doesn't work in a small percentage of people (we knew this already).
Conclusion: Stop being pussies and go get the needle. It doesn't hurt. You're big baws, you can handle it.

Stop being a pussy by asking the unvaccinated to save the vaccinated.

Where are the reinfection numbers?

NEJM is respected among Google docs and academics but no longer is trusted in the real medical world..don’t think they don’t have an agenda

Oh, I have no doubt NEJM has an agenda in regard to social justice bullshite. If you flip through the journal most of it is dedicated to race studies and all that bullshite.
But good science is good science no matter where it's published. You can read this study and come to your own conclusions.

It's not about being a big boy. It's common sense and the realization that the needle has swung back and forth so many times on this BS that people are tired of this shite!
When the Government and those who profit from the original, Delta, Gamma and Aqua Velva variants are offering candy to get an experimental medical injection, some people will be naturally cautious.
Too many studies from reputable people and sources say the exact opposite of your study. Some people view all sides of an issue before jumping in head first.
I saw a study on this board today showing death rates are still trending down. Why get an injection were no one can honestly say that 5-10 years from now won't give certain people complications?
Nah, dude. 99.8% survival rate is ok with me. I have not gotten a flu shot in years and guess what? I have not had the flu in years. Back off and let people make their own decisions and live their own lives.

What is this natural immunity you speak of?
Clearly, it's a form of witchcraft.

Just want to point out the nejm is partisan trash.

How do you know that this 57% didn’t give to their house mate?

What’s your preferred source for primary literature?

Because they assumed, you know...like all diligent researchers (sarcasm). While what they propose is plausible, they cannot definitively know. I mean, what you proses is also plausible, far less likely, but still plausible.
