The US pays about 16-22% of these common funds
For administrative shite, yes. And guess what, our people run nato and staff almost all of the important positions at NATO HQ.
Still are not funding any other countries military. You’re conflating office space and support staff with military spending

POTUS doesn’t have the ability to do that anyway.
Congress could pass new legislation. Hopefully Massie and Rand don’t frick this one up. You would think saving 2.4% of our GDP would be a good thing to them.

You like funding 31 other countries military? That surprises me.
He’d sell his soul for the US to send a Marine from Iowa to die for Ukraine

What is shared bases and equipment funded by the US? Good Lord.
Huh?
We pay those nations to use their facilities, and pay for expansions and such that WE want on their bases. That isn’t what funds their militaries.

Shared bases and equipment funded by the US. You can parse all you want. You’re still incorrect.

There is not and will not be 60 Senate votes to give POTUS the unilateral authority to leave NATO

I don't see anything in the link you posted which says the U.S. is spending/funding other countries' military.
Can you quote from the text where it says that?

The money the US contributes to NATO goes into two main types of funding: direct common funding for shared operations and infrastructure, and the much larger national defense budgets of member countries.

We wouldnt save anything. U.S. Contribution to NATO Common Funds: Approximately $753 million in 2024,
Trump wants to increase our military spending from $850 billion to $1.5 trillion

What are you talking about?
We lease space on other nations bases, and pay for that. We base our surveillance aircraft and military units there, and pay for the upgrades and expansions required for that. Yes.
We don’t fund any other nations military. The rent we pay Germany for using Ramstein does not fund their military. The rent we pay to Spain to base a squadron of destroyers at Rota does not fund their military.

Your link says nothing about funding other countries militaries. It says that we pay for our own forces to use other countries’ bases.

Pretty sure the US has a bigger military than the rest of NATO combined.

Why did you only list the common fund and why are you stating us leaving nato wouldn’t be savings because there is spending elsewhere? Thats silly. As is a far left wacko pretending they care about spending.

Keep reading. Also…what do we lose if we keep 2.4% of our GDP. Be specific.
