Seriously. I honestly DGAF what happens to Ukraine. I don’t think they’re a democracy. I don’t think they’re free. I don’t think this war has a point. And I certainly don’t think we have any national security interest in what happens there. In fact, I think our involvement in this shitshow has weakened our national security.
I don’t think Ukraine’s government is innocent. I think their government was used as a pawn by Victoria Nuland and other assholes in our government to instigate this shite and the mobsters running Ukraine were only too happy to oblige to keep business booming. That’s not patriotism. That’s self interested politicians.

Russia is not going to go home. They are not going to go home if we print more money. They are not going to go home if we send troops. The situation will just escalate. Plus some portion of Europe will freeze to death this winter. In the industrialized world. Ukraine won’t keep them
warm. They’ll just keep asking for more billions that nobody can prove where it went.
This is utterly and completely pointless. We have no national security interest in this shitshow. Anybody who says so has eaten MIC propaganda hook line and sinker.
We don’t go to war bc another leader is an a-hole. Case in point. Ukraine.

Russia gains a lot in that scenario.
Hundreds of billions in reparations and maintaining the sanctions would destroy Russia. And we let Putin stay in power.
That's a victory for Russia, long-term. You won't find much better terms after a war you lose (and could never win).

Ukraine was on the path to integration into Europe via the EU, which would have created another European ally and market participant. They'd have become much less of an a-hole with this development. It's more economic. This aggression by Russia has already cost US citizens tens of billions of dollars. It's cost our economic allies hundreds of billions of dollars. That's going to keep accumulating at this goes on.
