What do you think discovery means and why do you think CBS not wanting discovery lead to trump caving on his 20 billion dollar demand? and then caving a second time on his claim that he would never go lower than 25 million with them?

Scott Ellison who owns Oracle was invited to speak at the WH a couple of weeks ago about their 500 billion dollar investment in AI in the US, a big, big initiative of Trump's.

Im sure they also discussed this lawsuit. Because you see Paramount Global the parent of CBS is in the process of being bought by Skyedance. for 8 billion or so. But the whole deal is on hold til this lawsuit is cleared up and then the FCC can approve the deal.

Scott Ellison's son owns Skyedance.

I hope that clears it up for you.

cope. Why would a network news organization just give millions of dollars to someone they despise?

Seriously, what happens to entities like CBS once the Boomers are all gone in a decade or two? Are Gen X'ers still fully committed to obtaining new information via TV channels?

I’m Gen X and I avoid all media outlets for news. Especially politics. No one I know still considers those outlets to even be semi credible. That goes for local news and news papers.

This is what you got out of a National media outlet interfering with the presidential election. Jesus what are you liberals going to do with your miserable lives once trumps gone??? Have you even thought about it??

No news outlet on earth has had to pay 18 million dollars for “editing”. You liberals can drop that catch phrase now. It shows your weakness and desperation.

What about not manipulating the interview so that they can report the news instead of presenting a desired, biased narrative ?

Cause I don't know a single Millennial or Gen Z'er that even thinks about broadcast network TV channels unless their favorite NFL team is playing on there for 3 hours a handful of times a year.

Gen X, (1970), here and I flip around between all the Sunday morning shows. It never even occurs to me to watch network news beyond that. And virtually none of the network "entertainment" programming either. It's not just the internet that killed the networks. I find the "reality" shows repellent. The first season of Survivor was compelling with the scheming gay guy but that one season was enough for a lifetime.

At first I thought the same thing. However, the fact they are paying but refuse to apologize shows how idealogically the are driven. I'd hammer this point home constantly!

The spin on NPR this morning was that the lawsuit was holding-up the sale of the company to some other entertainment conglomerate. Paramount's leadership just wanted it to go away.

Might be true. Might be BS.

Don't really care.

Yup. I changed my vote to Kamala because of that interview.

Judge in Alaska will rule that it's unconstitutional for trump to win any lawsuit.

Would be a shame if others brought a suit (unless the agreement has hold harmless language that would make Trump have to pay for their defense)

Agree! Hopefully, people who have any intelligence, can understand that this was, at the very least, biased media, but more like election interference and media manipulation. I’m sure this story will not make it out to the masses, though.

I was wondering about that myself. It would be funny if a bunch of individual people brought up and sued them and based on the Trump judgement they got huge settlements and/or a class action lawsuit.
