I'm trying to temper my optimism; I can't help but think this is some kind of 5-D chess / bait being played out by tControllers.

I am starting to feel that way too, I figured he was (and probably still is) a RINO to the core but I like what he is doing so far.

As you note, to believe anything truly indicting has been preserved.... is to believe in Santa Claus, the US Justice, and....mass admissions of wrong-doings and wholesale impeachments & arrests.
The Uni-Party is simply tossing out a bone or two. It makes for much better drama of what is still an ongoing orchestrated charade. Proof: McCarthy is cast as THE HERO!!

If they're suppressing stuff people need to see, I'd say yes. Although I think the chances of another "bombshell" one way or another (after both sides have released their favorite parts) is pretty low.
Plus it will help the legal efforts of anybody still rotting in jail as political prisoners. I wouldn't be surprised if they were denied access to the footage, due process has not been followed at all in these cases

Not sure what you mean by "bind" but it will definitely put FOX in the same shithouse as its competitors concerning hiding all the facts of a story. As a media outlet that is inexcusable.

The litmus test as to whether this release of tapes/evidence is as you posit; WILL those denied due process and rotting in jail NOW ALSO BE ABLE TO ACCESS FOOTAGE?
(and frankly, I'm still not convince Qshaman Man wasn't/isn't an "asset" of the theatrics. ONLY THIS costumed guy gets a videotaped "Insider" Grand Tour??)
