No. And if you pay attention to any bomb expert talking about them, there isn't any way they could be detonated. If he is as really unintelligent as he is being made out to be, it's a wonder he isn't a greasy spot inside of his van.

A homeless guy living in a van just randomly trying to build a bomb would have probably come closer to making something that would actually explode that these "bombs". They were so far removed from being a working explosive device that they had to be intentionally designed that way.
