an interest bearing loan of that size would almost certainly have tax implications, especially if it was for an investment. It not being reported could be an attempt to evade taxes even if the loan was legit (it’s not).

Wanna know how I know you haven’t read the thread?

I’ve said as much like seven times

Interest on the loan is taxable. If Joe didn’t report interest income it would be a gift. If there is no 709 then they have an issue.

What interest? Genuinely curious and feel like I'm missing something.

I'm addressing the specific post you made. Not every comment you've ever made in life.

I dont think we disagree here, perhaps other than the standard to prove this loan is real (considering the weight of these allegations) should be ultra high. These are the exact tactics used to move cash around.

Bro you and I are on the same team with the Matt Gaetz situation. I was mocking the RINOs we have here because he has become akin to Satan to them and so everything wrong now is Matt Gaetz’s fault to them.

A loan requires interest. Interest income must be reported.

I was curious why it was out of nowhere but on here it’s not unexpected. Sorry

Simmer down. I was just saying that I’ve beat that drum many times in this thread. Gets very difficult to have a cogent conversation when people don’t read the thread before responding to individual comments is all.

I don’t think we disagree at all. If this was legit, the Biden’s and the IRS should have the paperwork readily available to prove it.

There has to be interest on personal loans above a certain amount for the loan to not count against the gift tax exemption.

If I give you 100k but there’s no interest, that’s a gift. And you need to pay income tax on the balance of that gift above the gift tax exemption amount.

Yes. And I'm still genuinely curious here...what if interest is deferred and the personal loan is paid back in total during the deferment period?

Then the deferred interest would be on Joe’s tax returns as income, right?

Hey I’m not a CPA. I just prepare my own taxes and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

The wardrobe, the cars, the houses, the facelifts, the porcelain veneers, the hair implants.

Now we know how he paid for all of that.

This is Nixon / Watergate level stuff. Get a new speaker in place and start the impeachment proceedings now.

where are the alleged recordings documented in the fbi report (that bill barr couldn't be bothered with and that would have exonerated Trump on the quid pro quo impeachment) of the Bidens accepting millions dollars worth of bribes from Burisma?

huh?

Then it would not be an arms length transaction and the 7520 rate would be used to determine the total gift amount, for the life of the loan, which would have shown in his 2018 return.

Why are you twisting yourself in knots trying to find some explanation when we all know exactly what happened here?
