Pretty much.

While not justifying it by any means, and agree we should work to reduce it, we owe ourselves 71.1% of that debt ($15.642 trillion) and, guess what, we aren't about to call it in on ourselves.

Also, except for China, the remaining major holders of our debt rely on our swinging dick military to protect them from Russia and China, so they're not about to frick around either.

I’m going strictly by what is on the middle of the graph my man.

Do you see a Trillion or a Billion? That is a pretty significant error no?

We should just tell them to frick off and we can use that money to build a big beautiful wall around the entire continental US.

I see

quote:

$21,516.1 Billion

Which is $21,516.10 x 1,000,000,000 = $21,516,100,000,000

or

$21.5161 Trillion

I know. I am spending way too much time on a bad joke. Lol

Just being a smart arse and trying to give MAGA credit for killing our debt in two years.

I'm gonna need a more thorough breakdown of that dark blue category.

I would think most of that is to mutual funds of one sort or another.

Banks and and money market dealers hold a big portion, especially of newer issues.

And individuals. You could go down to the FRB and make a non-competitive bid for a new debt issue. Give them cash for at least $10,000 and you can get a TBill, Note or Bond.

Lots of commodities margin is made up of treasuries.

Federal Reserve nearly 11%, what a fricking scam the American people allowed in 1913, there should have been riots.

This really makes you wonder, who are the individuals and entities that are here in the USA? No wonder there is a deep state.

Anyone that has ever bought a savings bond. My four year old niece has a few, I don't think she is part of the deep state.

You clearly don't understand how the credit/debt market works.
