LED and CFLs have a MUCH higher fail rate out of the box than incandescent IMHO and are more likely to get flaky.
An incandescent tends to either work or not. If it is damaged, it either quits working completely or the filament burns twice as bright before it finally breaks.
An LCD / LED / CFL? If that starts acting up, you tend to get a lot of flicking light similar to a strobe effect and I have had those catch on fire or melt due to issues, which hasn’t happened with incandescents as long as they are placed properly (nothing too close to bulb).
Also doesn’t even go into the problems seen by some areas which tried to fully transition… traffic lights in places like Minnesota froze up because the new tech bulbs didn’t produce enough heat to keep the lights from freezing up completely.

I sure miss my old mercury vapor street light that we had on the barn. It buzzed some but sure was BRIGHT. Now going on my second LED that is half as bright. The first one died in about a yr.
