I don't believe for a minute that anyone was "eating kids." FFS cannibalism is EXTREMELY, EXTEMELY fricking rare. Even in the poorest nations where starvation is commonplace, we see very, very few cases of cannibalism. It's a taboo that spreads across nearly all cultures in all recorded history. And our natural revulsion towards it has an undeniably strong genetic component. Even finding this stuff on the dark web is incredibly fricking rare.

There aren't enough of them to account for hundreds of mentions of "jerky" in the emails. Even among taboos, cannibalism is especially egregious. We've never unearthed that kind of widespread, underground "cannibalism market" and taboo-breakers have been around for a long time. With ritual cannibalism, it never consists of more than a few people at most. And none of these people are dumb enough to think they just have to replace one word with another and gmail will keep them safe.
