reminds me of the long article in GQ I read during Obama's first Presidential campaign in '08
he was pressing the flesh at a truck stop and came across a display of hitch ball covers and was completely flummoxed as to what they were
it was as though the words "hitch" "ball" and "cover" had no meaning when to him when used together
