It’s not that their lives are any better. It’s that your life is as shitty as theirs and it makes them happy.
How many threads each day are started here celebrating the misfortune or misery of someone labeled a lib? Serious question. The schadenfreude here is off the charts.

These are caricatures of people.
If this is how you view the left, I think it means you are in an info stream that only presents to you the idiots of the left. There are plenty of idiots on both the left and right. If your info stream is only giving you the idiot version of the other side what does that say about your info stream?

Exactly. Federal politics impact our daily lives very, very little.
Except when 20 million people invade our country.

That’s self inflicted. My life is still great.
Understand the difference?

Since “leftist” on here usually just means “anyone who criticizes Trump,” I suppose I qualify.
My honest answer: my life has never swung much based on which party holds the presidency. They mostly back the same policies.
The only time a president really impacted my life was when George W wrapped me up in his personal beef with Saddam and burned half my 20's to keep "the smoking gun from being a mushroom cloud."

That’s absolutely hilarious coming from you of all people.

No
My life wasn’t impacted at all by this.

I'm trying to figure out which laws Trump is eroding. Can you give us an example?

It's a matter of what's most important. What's most important to our well-being as a society is freedom and rule of law. Trump is eroding the rule of law. Democrats have as well, but Trump much more aggressively. Look around at other countries and you can see how important the rule of law is. The results of Trump's erosion of the rule of law will not appear over night. It's like a long term compounding investment, but negative. Slowly over time we'll be poorer and poorer and less free. Drive from Northern Europe to Southern Europe and I think you'll see the effects of the rule of law. If you can agree with that, the next question is what is the truth regarding what Trump is doing to the rule of law.
Wtf are you even trying to say. Damn. Reading this was was like watching a bad YouTube instructional video

Because they are “victims” of objectively observable things like prices and product quality?
