@evanchill
Democrats have a 12-point lead in the overall popular vote for the Senate and have lost three seats.

11:10 PM - Nov 6, 2018

@Zac_Petkanas
This is an insult to democracy.

We are the majority party.

Astonishing and horrifying.

The Senate, like the Electoral College, is another problem with US "democracy"

Conservatives need to stop laughing at liberals and start recognizing this rhetoric for what it is.

They are serious, and most of us can't stop laughing at them.

Are leftists truly the stupidest people on the planet? I can think of tribesmen on Papua New Guinea that are more intelligent than leftists in our country.

I know they are, but there are too many libs in power in the Senate that WILL NOT give up power. The Senate will never be disbanded.

Wait for the real liberal melt when RGB kicks it. that's when the fireworks are really going to start.

The irony is that if we gave them pure democracy, they would immediately turn it into a socialist state.

This is a coordinated effort.. You can't achieve full socialist mob rule without first dismantling the safeguards against it -- looking at you Electoral college, Senate, etc.

If Democrats had their way, we would be a Socialistic Monarchy run by elitist Democrats and eventually turn us into Venezuela.

..and they would blame Republicans for it.

It makes perfect sense. Voters in California and New York have every right to pick senators in Georgia and Alabama

Did these idiots fail civics or did they have liberal indoctrination about “power to the people”?

The fiction that is always sold to the masses is that mob rule will be this utopia. The truth is, obviously, that mob rule quickly gives way to tyranny. It must, because it won't work any other way.

You can't have freedom AND socialism. Sadly, a lot of these young folks don't understand that and think you can have both.

Only had two democrats to choose from... which skews the vote totals anyway.

The Senate doesn't represent the people, it represents the states.

Try explaining that to these buffoons.

Did the corrupt bitch get re-elected or did the socialist beat her?

Only paid attention to seats which had R candidates last night.

I like to use this analogy:

If 1,000,000 people in California enjoy surfing, and 250,000 people in Montana enjoy fly-fishing, should the people in California get to decide how the people of Montana should spend their leisure time?

I mean, if you put it up to a popular democratic vote, surfing would win in a landslide.
