You know Bloomberg would love... and I mean LOVE... to ban food stamps from being used on soda, potato chips and other snacks,. That little motherfricker is itching to do that.

I would support.

I remember back in the day when your parents could send you to the store with a note that you'd give to the clerk and they'd let you buy cigarettes. Selling cigarettes to 10 year olds. No shite. And back then, you could use food stamps to purchase said cigarettes. I frickin seent it.

That is wrong. And if you're on the government dole for food stamps you should be buying whole foods, IMO. Or, if not whole foods, you shouldn't be buying soda with my money.

Strangely, I'm ok with responsible use of EBT

As would I.

You see, if you are giving someone your money, it is within your rights to condition how that money is spent.

The problem I have with Bloomberg is he believes he has the right to tell me how I can spend MY money.

He does, and he thinks he knows what’s best for everyone and knows how to do everything.

My wife just said that the woman in the video looks like some bitch from the Hunger Games. Seems about right.

As well as Monsters, Redbulls, candy bars, and other junk they buy with it. And they will spend every last cent every single month whether they need it or not.

Yep. The reason I brought up the cigarettes story is because back then the food stamps weren't ran through an EBT card. It was like a booklet of vouchers that people got. You'd present a piece of paper. So to the guy running the convenience store, he didn't give a shite. That "5 dollars" food stamp was just as good as 5 dollars cash money. So he'd sell you whatever the hell you wanted to buy with the food stamps vouchers.

Well times have changed and it's all automated now. It wouldn't be hard at all to just remove all the junk bullshite off the list of approved items. And they should. We shouldn't be financing people's diabetis. Or peoples cardiac arythmia in the case of red bulls. Cuz who picks up the tab for the health problems these people face for this shite? We do, that's who.

I remember when , in La., That one could not use food stamps on fast food related items. Only items from the store that had to prepared at home. Also no soft drinks or snacks and candy.

All food stamp recipients should only be allowed to shop in a food stamp Depot. In this Depot, there will be no name brand anything. No processed junk. You get to pick from wild pork (we have tons of wild hogs to feed people), rice, eggs, flour, water, bread, and milk. You will have an incentive to get off of the free food or you will live on them for the rest of your life and be healthy. No more loading a grocery cart full of junk and then hitting the tax payers with another bill to fix your diabetic problems that were created.
