From when? Originally they were organized to fight back against carpetbagging Yankees. When it became about something else Forrest disbanded them. Later it came back to fight against Catholic and Jewish attacks on Protestant communities. Later it rose again it support and enforce Democrat Jim Crow laws. Later the name was revived to counter civil rights groups. The last organization using the name was more drug running and anti government hiding behind the racial purity crap.

Well you see, the KKK is not as blatant as in the old days because they know they would get the shite beat out of them if they attempt to pull what they did back then.
The KKK doesn't wear the hood and robe these days, they wear suits and ties. Also, you have a good bit wearing the uniform of Law enforcement. They are hiding in plain sight.
