Black people in Portland struggle to be heard amid protests.

Black people by and large just want police accountability. Trump can start to sway more and more black votes if he campaigns on widespread police reform than many blacks and whites can agree upon, like a national overseeing committee and database used by all departments. As well as widespread mandatory body cam usage with full transparency.
He already has my black vote and the black vote of 7 of my closest friends and many others, but he can continue to Facilitate #Blexit with an even stronger stance on police reform.

Neutering the union could be a start. Similar to the teachers union, they protect bad cops. They leave one department for misconduct and end up in another one a few towns over.

It's just in peoples nature to react and treat people based on what they deal with every single day. Does that mean a number of innocent blacks get pulled over for nothing? Maybe. I don't know for sure.
The fact is there are about 40 million... MILLION... traffic tickets written each year. IF blacks are not targeted at all and pulled over at the same statistical % as their U.S. population makeup of 13.5% then that means the police pulled over a black driver 5,400,000 times in 2019.
If you add in police interactions with blacks for domestic calls, shoplifting, assaults, drugs, gang violence, etc... surely we are talking at least 8,000,000 to 10,000,000+ in a year. All this shite is over 8-10 supposedly brutal police tactics a year. Call it 200 a year I don't give a frick. We are still talking 200 in 8-10+ million interactions between blacks and police.
Not sure what you are going to reform. Honestly think that if a city like Portland, Chicago, NY, etc.... fired every single non-black police officer and replace them all with black police officers in 2-3 years there will be just as many complaints. They learn and react to what they deal with every day. Don't think this is racism. No doubt there are some racist cops but they are few and far between.

Agree. And look at the Floyd case and Brooks case. Both guys are drunk or hopped up on all kinds of drugs and both were prior jail birds. Need people reform more than police reform.
How about we pass laws that make all convicted felons take a police interaction class before they are released.
