Black Mississippi woman wears Confederate flag and noose to vote

Claudia Bivins wanted her grandson to understand the sacrifices African-Americans made to get the right to vote.
So when she left home Tuesday to vote in Mississippi's Senate runoff, she wore a Confederate flag draped around her shoulders and a red noose hanging from her neck.
The unconventional lesson left some people scratching their heads, but those who know Bivins said it made sense.

That’s exactly what I think about when I think Mississippi, that face. Take away the costume and just the head shot.

While my people were pour swamp trash that cut trees in the manchac swamp around Lake Martin and Flat Lake, were nearly starving to death and couldn’t afford shoes, I do wish those rich dudes would have picked their own cotton too.
