2 Birmingham police officers injured, suspect dead in downtown shooting

A Birmingham police officer was shot this evening. The person suspected of shooting the officer was shot and killed.
Another officer was also injured, but not by gunfire.
The officer who was shot was taken to UAB Hospital by a fellow officer and is in stable condition.
The condition of the other injured officer is not known.

One officer shot multiple times. Suspect robbed a convenience store.
