The New Rules segment was the only enjoyable part of the episode this round.
Sullivan made at excellent remark about how today's democrats would view MLK, and Larry Wilmore rebuttled with something that had no relevance to the comment. Sullivan's expression was hysterical.
I'm a conservative that has been hard on trump, but I really don't like the Michael Wolf character. he just doesn't seem to be confident in much of the book being anything remotely close to concrete fact like the media sensationalized it to be

“Real Time" was back on Friday - the Trump bashing was even reduced bigly. Had been my favourite show for about 10 years but wasnt even watching last fall as Bill’s TDS was off the charts

I agree with him but his point about only Dems having to ride on that mecarthyism highway is silly.

What liberal men like him need to figure out is that THEY catered to it long enough that the trained attack dog finally attacked THEM too.
Let's be blunt. Liberals liked catering to this femcrazy shite when it was working for them AGAINST republicans. It seemed to never occur to them that the nuts were taking it seriously and weren't going to be checking voter registration cards when they went crazy.
It's like when I see white liberals catering to race baiting crazies. I'm like. Do you stupid fricks not realize those folks hate YOU too!?

this is basically what happened to the DEMS (not progs)
the DEMs cannot control the legit progs. the legit progs hate the DEMs who do not cater to their extremism. it's not the DEM party of the past 20 years or so that was united when it had to be no matter what (in opposition to the GOP)

Yup.
Older Dems who are liberal seem to have been completely blindsided by this reality.
I've been telling them for years. "Hey, you see those black people saying "kill whitey".........they aren't saying "kill conservative whitey". You see those women and minorities saying "white men are evil". They aren't saying "white conservative men are evil". And on and on.
The older Dems and even the younger so called "allies" seem to legit not get that even THEY aren't getting a pass on this shite. You'd think a light bulb would have went off when they tried to participate in shite and were told to move to the back. But nope. They seemed to be gluttons.

i think the educated/enlightened group who manufactures the marxist/post-modern ideas are just completely ignorant to the reality of the demos they market these ideas to. they create so much of their belief system based on this concept/construct of "power" and convince themselves the people who follow them understand this and want the power temporarily solely to decrease/destroy the power structures that gave the advantage to the presently privileged. nope. these "lower level" groups want to seize the power they're being offered to wield it...against everyone who is not them (which includes the intelligentsia)
