I will bet anyone anything they want that Cassidy will not be re-elected Senator in the midterms.

All JBE had to do to get the seat was push back on the Covid mandates and give Trump a few compliments between 2016 and 2020. He elected to do the opposite of that and he will never win a statewide election again.

He went lock step with Dems during COVID so we all know he will vote with them in the Senate.

I guess you didn’t see the statement that Musk said he will back primary challengers to unseat any Republican that stabs Trump in the back.

Hell with Elon’s money behind me, I could beat Cassidy.

I will never, under any circumstance, cast a vote for Cassidy. If it is a runoff, between Cassidy and a Democrat, I will abstain.

Its time for North La from Alexandria to the Arkansas line to secede from Louisiana. We'll join Texas and extend Texas' border to the MS River.

I agree. The shitty part of the state has ruined LA for too long. It's what happens when you are descended from the f-aggoty French and not sturdy Anglo stock. Look at Canada and it's the same thing. The French part drags the whole country down. The British part is more conservative.

Depends on how he reacts in the next two years.
Might surprise you, but outside of NYC, Buffalo and Albany, the rest of the NY state, including Long Island, voted Republican. I think it was like 46 of 62 counties went for Trump. They have the same issue as Louisiana. Can't get a decent candidate elected statewide.

John Bel Edwards will get the seat thanks to all the Dems and at least 20% of the GOP vote.

Somebody posted on here the other day about Jindal running, and while not perfect, he may be the perfect solution because JBE and Cassidy both have names that people know, and it's going to take someone with a name to beat both of them. Whatever it is and whoever it is, they pretty much need to start now, because I don't know if they're going to get help from the LA R party, and the Rs nationally is a toss-up too. Dems will go all in for JBE if he runs.
