This shite head doesn’t understand he is supposed to vote in accordance with the will of his constituents, not his own personal biases.Typical politician that thinks his constituents are a bunch of unwashed ignorant deplorables.

I thought I was pretty clear that Trump's losing was of the electoral variety. Indeed, I even specifically noted the credit he deserved for the economy even though that was off topic. The list you made is a good one and though I might quibble with it here or there, agree it's a good summation of his administration's achievements. And with all that said, the House, Senate, and presidency were lost on his watch. When I say a winner, I emphatically do not mean a "Democrat." I mean a Republican who, unlike Trump, is a winner of elections.

"They shite on the guy for 4 years. "

Oh, please. They (rightly) acquitted him twice on impeachment. They passed his tax cuts. They approved his judges. By "shite on for four years," I suspect you mean "occasionally disagreed mildly when Trump said something stupid on Twitter."

In the old days, the state legislature would recall the Senator and meet him at the station with tar and feathers.

This day and age they'd all high five him and go out for drinks later.

Negative. A member of congress has never been (and cannot be) recalled.

Louisiana is the original social welfare state in this country. Louisiana's population is only "conservative" on culture war issues like abortion and gun ownership.

Nope. It was Dominion. It gets repeated on here, so it must be true.

You're just a sheep.

Despite my shortcomings as a "goddamn, moronic, idiotic LOSER," as you so eloquently describe them, it is actually rather simple, even for me, to note President Trump's dreadful post-2016 electoral losses.

Cassidy ran some television spots saying how wonderful he was by voting for that pork-laden monstrosity known as the "infrastructure bill." This apparently didn't go over too well because the ads were pulled quickly.

maybe just maybe if Trump wouldn't have insulted John McCain at every turn he would have got his legislative goals done. Words matter...

100% this is a very poor state, we get shite on by your conservative politicians all the time. We get shite on by our Democratic politicians. Hell we even get shite on by the companies that take massive tax breaks from an already poor state to destroy alot of our natural resources.

the vast majority of conservative/Republican-leaning voters will convince themselves that re-electing Cassidy would be better than someone like those two Democrats having that seat in D.C. for six years.

Absolutely. It doesnt matter what he does as long as he has a R next to his name people will vote for him. My conservative friends laughed at me for voting for Aaron Sigler instead of cassidy. Now i laugh at them every time cassidy opens his mouth or votes with the dems
