This day in age, on my list of things to be shocked about, if he accepted during that widely publicized event, if the following week the Patriots were forced to fire him even if it cost them $50 million.....it would rank somewhere around number 6 on my list of most shocking things. Two things:
1) Belichik is a great coach, maybe the best ever. But he is also pretty shady ethically and probably isn't "Medal of Honor" worthy.
2) It is super messed-up that someone feels pressured to reject the highest civilian honor in our country, just because of who is president at the time.
