What is wrong with competition, anyway?

I don’t need my POTUS or the qb of my favorite team anointed. IF( big if) Ron runs, then so be it and let the best candidate win. Two 5 Stars battling for starter is great.

Again, I’m not even making a prediction. I just don’t understand the anger.

Maybe a weird confidence after the J6 failures. Can’t sink MAGA with a hoax trial.

Try to divide the party. Enjoy lapping it up

I don’t think many level headed folks would disagree.

The main arguments you are having, are from folks like the OP and HHTM who start bleeding at anything that bashes Trump. They still believe the GOP is there ally and anything pinning this two against each other this early is clearly on purpose.

And yet, here you are.

I think the betting market is a better indicator, but primaries are over a year and a half off. No one has even declared, so who is deciding these odds and based on what? Eh.

The point is that its clear DeSantis and Trump are the two favorites. I am not sure how familiar you are with betting, but its the bookmakers job to keep equal money on both sides of the bet. This is why DeSantis opened at +3500 and has since jumped to +275, the market is hammering DeSantis.

quote:

Why Do Betting Lines Move?
As we have seen, generally lines move because a large majority of money has been placed on one side of a single bet. The sportsbooks don’t like this because if all those bets win, they will lose money.

When the sportsbook wants to “balance the books” it will move the line to make that side of the bet more attractive.

In the example above, the Chiefs started out as favorites and attracted a lot of bets. This would have made the sportsbook concerned that they would lose money if the Chiefs won. In response, they gave the Ravens even more points so that more people would bet on them.

The most common reason for line movement is that the vast majority of public bettors are betting in one direction. Generally, the highest number of people betting on one side means that that side has the highest amount of money.

I don't believe the GOP is my ally. I have real concerns that Trump cannot get re-elected even against Biden and $5 gas. I am convinced DeSantis can.

Ok, people are betting on Desantis before we are even through midterms. I don't put much stock in tea leaves. We'll see once the campaigning starts and we get through a couple debates. Desantis has been trying desperately to prove he's in the running with straw polls in Colorado and Wisconsin of all places. People will vote how they vote and most will go with their gut, which I think gives Trump an advantage, but we'll see.

Who finances DeSantis?

Maybe you missed all of the GOP literally sticking their tongue out saying they were holding secret conventions on luxury islands.

And Donny Tiny Hands was out right said to be disinvited. DeSantis was at, at least one of their meetings with Turtle and gang.

While it is semi amusing. They are at war with MAGA and OMB and they are using DeSantis.

I am also not a fan of 76 year old Trump running. I would support others. Candace Owens. Or maybe someone else?

But the GOP seem to be controlling who can and cannot run is the area of extreme

I am hoping this is all media generated GOPe dem caused schism; and DeSantis is not a part of it.

Though many donors are focused on November, when the governor is up for reelection,
So these are donations to his state campaign. It figures that he'd get some Trump guys since they also want Ron to remain governor of Florida.

This is more wedge-driving by Politico. They want Trump and DeSantis at odds with each other.
