Drilling has not been banned. Drilling is going on in all kinds of places in and around the US. The Feds just are not leasing any more land for drilling for several months until they devise a longterm policy. Most big oil companies stockpile leases. Exon-Mobile has 4+ years of leases they control but have not started drilling on yet. The new policy does not affect leases already leased.

eh, maybe the radical democrats from the west coast and new york. I live in a very conservative area of the country. There are some radicals, but the most of the democrats around here are liberal, not completely insane. Most of my democrat acquaintances 1) hated Trump; 2) begrudgingly voted for Biden; and 3) assumed he would be a pretty uneventful president who played the middle, which to them, was a good trade-off to get Trump out. I don't think any of them expected or wanted the radical bullshite his been doing the past month. HOWEVER, most of them are too proud to admit it at this point.

Then they are very stupid because he pretty much stated everything he planned to do and it was very clear where the left's overall priorities were.
Trump was the devil to the willfully politically ignorant who "hate politics", walk away with their fingers in their ears from any discussion of it but take everything an alphabet newscaster or imbecilic celebrity says on Twitter as the God's honest marching orders. They probably couldn't tell you any of his actual policy positions or accomplishments.

He walked back a lot of the stuff he said too during his campaign and has also done things he never actively campaigned for the last couple of years. I'll be honest, I am pretty surprised he has gone to some of the lengths he has. I figured Pelosi and AOC would try to push through a bunch of radical bullshite in Congress now that they have control of everything, but I did not expect Biden to be leading (vocally at least) the charge with a lot of this and passing so many radical executive orders.
All these democrat candidates over the years always talk about gun legislation and a bunch of other nonsense they never actually do, so I wasn't all too concerned with a guy like Biden. I felt his "reign" would be fairly uneventful and was more worried about Kamala taking over and getting crazy.
