I don’t think it will matter. Even a coherent person would have a hard time balancing someone talking in their ear and addressing a crowd. He’s gonna look like anus.

Trump should only bring it up if the earpiece is clearly visible. If he called Joe out and then joe didn't have an earpiece in it would backfire bigly.

The Biden campaign supposedly initially agreed to the earpiece inspection but now at the last moment broke the agreement. This could be an excuse to cancel out on the debate. Biden campaign could just claim that negotiations broke down and cancel the debates.

Trump wins both ways. If Biden does have an earpiece or not, tomorrow after the debate President Trump can say he did and the Biden Camp can not dispute it.
