Lol

"These items are already illegal under federal law, but are still being used in crime and recovered by police."

Well the an Executive Order is certainly gonna take care of it.

Yep. It's a big example of a government that knows it's ineffective when they just pile on more laws and rules onto something they ALREADY don't enforce the EXISTING laws and rules on.

ETA- however much that I don't like being around thugs that have them... Theyre still protected under 2a!

Another useless government agency to waste tax payer money and accomplish nothing.

Agreed.
It's also yet another agency they can dump millions into, to launder off into other things they don't want people to know about.

I strongly object to the increasing use of executive orders by any administration regardless of party

this is easily one of the most egregious in its violation of the separation of powers

Law even bad law.
should only be written by Congress

Biden’s executive order will establish an emerging firearms threats task force consisting of leadership from various federal departments and agencies.

These agencies suck at most of what they already do. Why do we want to put them in charge of anything else? Why would we want to create any new ones?

I would like to see the sentences imposed on the people arrested in possession of a glock with a switch. I have a feeling that a lot of them see little, to no jail time.

Because they are aware and can see that more that most of us are tired their bull chit. We are tired of politicians not acting in the people's best interests. But we keep electing the smooth talking used car salesmen like attorneys. Our most obvios problem is an under regulated executive and legislative branch.

It's a war on the 1st and 2nd Amendments - why would a government feel so compelled to attack your speech and your right to keep and bear arms? So it can subjugate you.

The reason is that the U.S. is the ONLY country in the western civilized world that has both the 1st and 2nd Amendments. No other country comes close to the number of firearms legally owned by its citizens anywhere in the world. This is a problem for globalists and democrats.

It was indeed a baby. Hence the not totally accurate statement. Why are you picking on a baby? Hell, At least the baby is based and not gender confused.

Be nice if the Republican house could find the gonads to refuse to fund this. Although Pres or DOJ may have discretionary funds they could use anyway. But, would at least be a signal they won’t rubber stamp a duplication of existing agencies.
One can hope I guess

In other words, Americans don't have the right to guns but Ukrainians do.

yeah. they left 64 thousand machine guns go to the Taliban. But Americans are subject to the NFA which makes machine guns basically impossible for regular people to acquire (or afford).

Why TF do they need another org/agency to do whatever with this. WTF is the ATF for if not for stomping on our gun rights?

I agree. Like when so many reds got up to the podium, demanding to defund the ATF over the pistol brace rule.
And where did that go?

Yeah, we can hope.

End gun violence. So they are going to roll the clock back 20 years and put a father in every single parent home that doesn't sell drugs?

WE don't. THEY put these people there, to give them more power, and to pay them more, doing multiple jobs.
That, and if they are in multiple agencies at the same time, it smoothens and quickens how fast orders and Intel can be moved from agency to agency.
It also (theoretically) creates more inter-agency cooperation. When in reality it just makes the swamp that much deeper.
