Well, at least I'm starting to figure out why you are such an ardent leftist. You're completely delusional.

That was a stupid piece of rhetoric, while the Dems. (you know, the taxation lovers) in Congress made certain to put new taxes in every freaking bill they passed so he would have to break that promise by the time defense bills and other stuff came along that he would HAVE to sign. It was a classic Swamp trick.

Talk about revisionist history.

George Bush Sr. raised taxes. It's okay to say it. There will be no lightning bolts crashing from the sky punishing you for stepping out of line.

So what you want about the Dems, they are wasting no time in ramming their agenda and polices down the country’s throat.

Why shouldn't they? They know they cracked the code on making sure they maintain power for the foreseeable future.

It isn't just about now. They did this with Obama too.

i don't care about rich assholes being greedy. go for it. but acting like they aren't paying for their "fair share" when 40% of the country doesn't pay income tax is laughable.

Try closer to 50% than 40%.

The top 1% of earners by AGI (480K and above) paid a higher share (37.3%) of income taxes than the bottom 90% (30.5%).

Bottom 50% of income earners paid 3% of income taxes.

The planned changes include: raising the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21%, raising the income tax rate on individuals earning more than $400,000.
What’s the problem here?

First of all, he eliminated the Trump tax cuts so that raised all of our taxes. Second, if you think raising the Corporate rate and high earners taxes will be the end of it ur on crack. This is called INCOME REDISTRIBUTION and it starts now and ends with a guaranteed wage for the poors and reparations. Sucks bad but we can’t stop em.??

The problem is everyone is hurting from the China virus shutdown. Is this really a time to raise taxes? Jeez, just keep hitting us why we are down; this is theft of the real producers, so others can be lazy....

Stupid arse.
The House of Representatives levies taxes. Senate has to approve. What was the composition of Congress in 1992? The President only signs or vetoes. How would Bush vetoes of necessary spending bills have flown in the media? (Hint, the media held similar views then as now, but tried to pretend they were objective. They wouldn't have been able to constrain themselves even in 1992.)

I sent this to a rich liberal I know whose income is over $400,000. His response was “my taxes won’t go up because of all the write offs I’m able to use to bring my income below $400,000”.

Oh the irony there

Isn’t that precisely what they bitch about Trump doing? Yeah...

It'll come from the rich. The rich don't pay any taxes, and it's about time they pay their fair share.

Thankfully we have a strong and articulate President who has many years of experience in the business world who will make sure that happens.
So, you don't really understand taxes?
