In the same poll, Democrats are getting 45% of the vote and Republicans are getting 44% of the vote in a generic ballot.

Look a little closer at the data. In the US House election republicans have a 10 point advantage with independents and leading by 2 points with Hispanics. That is not a good sign for democrats.

It's slightly funny that the GOP hasn't been able to point out that oil prices started rising before the Russian invasion.

Democrats practically handed 2022 on a platter - a sane Republican party should be winning a landslide at the moment.

How do 71% of dems like the inflation, gas prices, etc?

Liberals are a spiteful and hateful group. They’d rather burn the country to the ground than to let a conservative in the White House.

But according to the same data, college-educated whites have shifted even further to Democrats.

I read an interesting piece in the New York Times that essentially argued that college-educated whites have been relatively sheltered from economic concerns and are voting based on cultural concerns.

Minority Democrats are voting based on economic concerns while college-educated whites are voting based on cultural issues.

If the GOP got rid of the 'cultural concerns' bit, they'd win far more seats than they're currently projected to.

In this same poll, Democrats are polling around equal to Republicans. 45% - Democrats 44% - Republicans So I'm not sure this is the victory people think it is. When there's record high inflation, you should expect Republicans to be winning in a landslide.

I’ve been saying since the 2020 GE it would be much easier to preserve the constitutional republic if the election was rigged, we can fix that. My fear is we have tens of millions of brain dead Americans who are knowingly voting for this catastrophe.

I would like Republican oil + economic policies but Democrat cultural policies.

Unfortunately, my preference for Democrat cultural policies + anti-Trump preference outweighs my economic preferences.

Ultimately, a lot of voters vote against their own self interest. They will vote Democrat even if the Democrats are killing their jobs or businesses. They heard all their lives to always vote Democrat because they’re “for the little man”. They never vote Republican because the it’s more important to vote for the Democrats than anything. The bottom line is they just don’t want to think.

just a fun fact... a QB that only spikes the ball into the ground for an entire game gets a passer rating of 39.6

he's doing worse than that

So if Trump starts having mental problems, wears a dress, and changes his name to Donnah, you’re switching to MAGA?

I said *Republican* policy, not Trump policy.

Low taxes, pro-oil-policies, less government spending + cutting social security + cutting regulation + pro-globalization + pro-free-trade. That's traditionally what most Republicans have run on pre-Trump.

If he stopped the tweets, didn't attack everyone and everything, was a normal politician, didn't pander to evangelical Christians, and was a standard Republican than yes, I'd vote for him.

But there's no chance of that.

ANd that is the reason that the DEmocrats yell "White Supremacy" so loud and so often.... With the Rising numbers of hispanics, Dems and Libs want Hispanic to turn from the Republican party...

I keep saying that the term "White Supremacy
is code for Republicans. So when they say WS is the worst thing for our Democracy they actually mean Republicans...
