I’ll preface this around the discussion of what makes Biden moderate?
How much has the Overton Window shifted not just in the last 10 yrs but the last 4?

NEW: Biden campaign says he's adopting a version of Sanders' free college idea. Biden had already backed free community college. Now he adds free public college and univ for families under $125k.
Here are some other policies Joe supports (taken from Joe and his campaign publicly)
-Free community college and healthcare paid for by rolling back tax cuts
-Green New Deal
-completely banning fracking and staunch regulations on the energy industry
-against them Hyde amendment
-Fever tax cuts $5 trillion for global warming
-Increase dept of Ed spending by 75%
-Assault weapons ban. Buyback or register with government.

He’s probably just positioning himself farther left to get ready for the general.

Too many people in college as it is, thus making degrees next to nothing. Trade school is where the focus needs to be for most people. If you want an advanced education and don't have a scholarship you will have to pay for it. You will be able to pay it back and make your way in life as a result. A degree in humanities, art, general studies, and mass comm. is worthless and shouldn't be subsidized by the public.

One of my first acts as president would be free job and career training. Set people up with something useful.
