True, and it's also an advantage that it's essentially one ongoing matter that will probably build on itself to some potentially exciting ending.

If true, his camp knows what it is and can prepare. If there is plausible deniability then he will do that until after the election.

Heck yeah. We may well have ourselves what they call in the book club life a "page turner". Utilize the human condition as an asset here, not a liability.
I will say this in all seriousness, I sense that the ledt doesn't yet quite know what to make of it. And they may have made an error in so quickly insisting the FBI investigate. Now that talking point's come and gone, and I'd bet we won't hear too much about that again. I don't think there anything to find. They coulda burned a few days before that demand was made.
