Sooooo....by suggesting that cash payments will allow them to stay put, the administration is telling everyone that these "asylum seekers" aren't really running for their lives from people trying to kill them.

Brilliant! Just think how many of our problems could be solved by implementing this method. One example is ending the war on drugs...just think how well it would work if the government gave every heroine and crack addict $10K if they promise to never use again. Just 1-3 short days later - boom, problem solved

We already pay them for coming. They’re smart enough to claim “refugee” status. That triggers a 5 year free ride wherein all of their expenses are paid as they “adjust” to their new lives as Americans. After the five years they can apply for just regular welfare, of course.

Kentucker, very few people realize this. Refugee status is the "E" ticket. This is not you getting released for a future court date. Refugee status means immediate cash payments, medical, housing, etc.
Second question, what about the 1000s of refugees from the 100 other countries. Are we going to pay them too?
Third, using NGOs to disperse the cash sounds like the 90 million we are paying for 1200 to be housed in Texas.
Fourth, you know these NGOs will liaise with the govts. Wasnt the Houduran presidents brother just convicted to a life sentence in NY for drug running. And El Salvador and Guatemala are no better.
