Honest answer: The Constitution 'attacked' Democracy as "mob rule" and nullified/restricted pure Democracy via codifying that that there are "inalienable Rights that come from God" and cannot be abridged by a democratically elected Government. Obama lamented this as "negative Rights" and started the 'insurrectionist' process toward "fundamental change".

Those who embrace and love the Freedoms in Constitutional Principle had just as well come out of the 'democracy' closet and accept the fact that they are going to have to DENY pure Democratic rule. The Dems are flooding this Nation with immigrants that they hope to give the vote toward "fundamental change". So, it's a zero sum game, and we can pick our poison. Either way, the former and prosperous days of Constitutional Freedoms (economic and religious at the fore) are going away. What fills that vacuum remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, it won't be votes that determine it.
