I don't share her opinion. I think it was a justified shooting. It wasn't murder.
It was the clearest video of the shooting I have found.

As a practical matter, I doubt she saw the officer in front. He came from her right. She was trying to get away from the agents on her left.
I agree and that's the only reason why Im the tiniest bit sad about it. She wasnt trying to hit the officer in front - she was petulantly trying to flee the officer on her left.
Still a FAFO situation and I support ICE 100%

response wouldn't have required force to end the situation.
Im calling it a night but ill leave the relevant DOJ guidelines here.
1. Deadly force may not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect.
2.Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless:
(1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle.
We can clearly rule that out. She didnt brandish a weapon other than the vehicle.
; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle.
It really all comes down to whether or not he was capable of moving out of the path of the vehicle without shooting the driver whether it is justified.

As the car hit him, looks like he made the right call.

I love all of these clearly non athletic people that are either very overweight or very frail breaking down a video frame by frame with no thought of how fast these things can move in real life.
To armchair quarterback an incident like this and ascribe your thoughts and observations to the officer is just fricking annoying.

Him shooting her didnt seem to have any effect on his defense based on the video. By the time the shots were fired they made no difference in his ability to avoid being hit than moving and not shooting.

Probably, but you're just deflecting that she's clearly from Missouri despite your claims otherwise.
She has had no addresses in Missouri that I could find.
The car that she was driving was last sold in Missouri in 2019. That’s the last recorded transaction for it. She wasn’t living in Missouri or Kansas during 2019. She has an address listed in Hampton, VA for a time period bracketing 2019.
I’m mocking you with the pupusas comment to remind you that you have spectacularly bad first impressions. This one you keep coming back for another half bite at the apple on your initial bad first take.

I agree completely.
I think Noem made a mistake by calling this "domestic terrorism." She should have emphasized how mundane this was. "Even if you think you're just protesting against ICE, these are federal officers carrying out the law. Don't obstruct them in any way or there might be fatal consequences."

Blah blah.
He followed policy. Good shoot. Gets to go home to his kids.

Here’s your bitch assed side coming through again.
She was part of an organized group that was attempting to impede federal law enforcement. What name would you rather call it?

Thanks for doing the research on where she lived. I appreciate the ribbing because I can make mistakes. G'night

What part?
Policy says not approach in front of a vehicle and not to discharge a firearm unless moving out of the way is not a reasonable means of defense.
He was able to move out of the path of the vehicle as shown in the video where he is standing beside the driver door, no longer in the path of the vehicle. Therefore we can determine moving was a reasonable defense.
The woman caused the situation but that does not mean the officer followed policy. Officers are held to a higher standard than criminals.

Why didn't the driver just stop as instructed? Problem solved.

That's a bad shoot. That officer should be charged 100%. She was not driving in such a way that she was trying to hit him.

But the "murderer" on Jan. 6 that wasn't in danger and shot the woman is a hero?
Right?
Right?

You hit it....... just frickin stop when a cop says stop, is that so hard to comprehend? There is only one outcome and you ain't gonna win that argument
Every last one of these liberal pricks are hoping an Agent or two is killed, they are all frickin nutz, more people are gonna get hurt it's coming

This video is probably the best I’ve seen though. Of her clearly accelerating while he is in front of the car. Good work
From this angle the officer starts pulling his gun as she accelerates towards him, so his actions are deemed to defend himself from getting run over.

How many times has it been mentioned on this board that you do what the officer tells you to do. If you want to fight the decision you do it in court. You fight it on the road it never turns out well.

If you agree it was justified, it’s pretty irresponsible to share obvious propaganda.
Your post might be the last straw that activates the next Travis Bickle.
