To act like this is some sort of new “flip” suddenly with “Big Tech” and people haven’t been discussing/addressing shite like this for ages in this country (often wrongly, but still) is pretty silly.

But Bernie is nothing if not silly.

Not saying there's no merit to what you wrote, but is Bernie the man to lead this discussion? He had a chance to see what an oligarchy looked like when he toured the USSR in the 80's, the invited guest of the Politburo who were anxious to find an American lapdog eager to parrot their propaganda in the west. And what was his response? He loved it! He loved it because it was the kind of oligarchy he wanted, the kind where wealth and power weren't concentrated in the private sector, but in the hands of private sector failures (like himself). An oligarchy where career bureaucrats held sway. I don't want an oligarchy, but if I'm forced to choose between a man like Musk who innovates entire industries and generates enormous wealth vs the Bernie's of the world - those who innovate nothing, generate nothing, and have never created a job for another human being in the entirety of their existence...I know which I'd choose.

You gotta admit, that dude is one Oligarchy fighting MF, whatever an oligarchy is.
